A buyback obligation in leasing is a contractual agreement between the lessor and the lessee, where the lessor agrees to repurchase the leased asset from the lessee at the end of the lease term for a predetermined price. This arrangement provides the lessee with the option to return the asset to the lessor at the end of the lease, reducing the lessee's risk and providing a guaranteed resale value for the lessor. Buyback obligations are commonly found in finance leases for assets such as vehicles and equipment. **

When selling books to buyback portals, you only earn a few cents because the buyback portals are looking to resell the books at a profit. They need to buy the books at a low price in order to make a profit when they resell them. Additionally, the demand for certain books may be low, which can also impact the price you are able to sell them for. Finally, the condition of the book can also affect the price, as buyback portals may only accept books in very good condition. **
